SIRI JØNTVEDT

Producer & consultant
2018–Present

My role as a consultant for dance artist Siri Jøntvedt, I work with the long-term perspective of her artistic practice: future planning, strategy, website, marketing, vision and goals.

I am producer for the performance "Fifty ways to leave a shape", ranging from idea phase to reporting phase, and including funding applications and financial responsibility for production and touring. Due to the pandemic colliding with the production period, the project structure and possibilities of performances during the prevailing restrictions changed.

Siri Jøntvedt is an experienced and fearless dancer, with a distinctive style. Her dance contains seriousness, humour, and originality. Her work ranges from solo works, collaborations with artists from various art fields, to commissioned choreographic work for theatres.
Siri´s curiosity and passion continuously bring her towards new collaborations with dance-, theatre-, music- and video-artists.
For more than 25 years she has created performances together with Snelle Hall in their company Siri&Snelle.
A Norwegian dance artist based in Oslo, Siri has since 1990 been working extensively in Norway and internationally in the independent dance field; performing, choreographing, teaching and supporting other artists in their work.
Education: The Norwegian Opera´s Ballet school, Oslo National Academy of the Arts (KHiO Oslo), Merce Cunningham Studio, and Movement Research (New York). Siri teaches release technique, improvisation, and composition.
